Giuggiulena: Sicilian Recipe
Giuggiulena - Ingredients: 1 kg of sesame; 600 grams of sugar; 300 grams of honey; 500 grams of almonds.
Preparation - Wash the sesame seeds and dry in the oven. Dissolve 500 grams of sugar and 500 grams of honey in a pan. Add the sesame seeds and almonds into small pieces, mix and pour the mixture onto a marble slab already oiled. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and, using the blade of a well-oiled knife, cut into small pieces the compound. Allow to cool and serve.
