Villa Galene

We stayed with two families (4 adulte and one baby) in this beautiful villa. At arrival the owners welcomed us with Italian pizzas (even with our 2,5 hours of delay). The fridge was filled with food and drinks and they even bought pasta and local ice-creams. How very thoughtful! There are 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 with 2 single beds) each with an ensuite bathroom (shower, toilet and bidet). The baby had his own room with a brand new baby cradle. The house is decorated nicely in a modern style with Sicilian twist. Everything is brand new and very clean. There are two kitchens (one inside and one outside). The rooms are decorated very nicely and you can feel and see that everything is brandnew. The pool is sublime! It has modern tiles (no old dirt pool) and has a whirlpool section. The garden is small but big enough to play some soccer. There is an outside area with a dining table and comfy lounge table. Outside you can aslo find a laudryroom with a laundrymachine and beachtowels. The location of the Vila is on the southern tip of Sicily. And locaties 150m from the beach. Santa Maria del Focallo is a beach town where the locale go to. So dont expect cheezy shops and overprized restaurants. In fact there arent a lot of restaurants. So always rent a car if you stay here. The shops are a 10 minutes drive away and along the coast there are some nice restaurants. The Vila is located nicely (1 hours drive Siracusse, 40 min Noto). Downsides; For us there arent any downsides but if we need to mention two small minusses: the beds are a lil bit hard and pack a lot of anti-mosquito spray. But if you are looking for a beautiful beach home that is not taking and used by all the toerists: go here!! It is a sicilian dream!
